This is where I learned about Geocaching which changed my life! Dale and Barb at Space Coast Geocaching store are the nicest people you will ever meet. Everyone we have met have been so pleasant. People here really care about where they live and consider how their lives effect the environment. I have been able to go as a group and clean up areas so the trash won't end up in the rivers and ocean.

We have lived here for all of our lives and know some really nice people too. We like to Geocache on Merritt Island and go to see the alligators on the refuge too. It is a great place.

Merritt Island is, quite simply, a perfect place for geocachers. Here, you can truly find something for everyone, from numbers oriented cachers looking for park & grabs, to some amazing high terrain caches for the more adventurous. Merritt Island is also home to the Space Coast Geocaching Store, where you can lay hands on all your caching needs, from ammo cans to geocoins. When you have satisfied your geocaching fix, Merritt Island also offers great places to dine, fish, watch a movie, stroll on the beach, watch manatees at play, or just about anything else that catches your fancy. Merritt Island pulls all this off without losing the small, home town appeal that keeps us coming back time and again. Come for a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Merritt Island, FL. Known locally as the Space Coast. Also home to the Space Coast Geocachers Association. With a strong Membership that stretches across the state and even some out of state. Some of our best geocaching experiences have been in Merritt Island, not only a great variety of great and challenging hides but also the fantastic events and fantastic people we've met at them. SCGA with Dale & Barb at the helm, promoting quality geocaching with a Mission Statement thst resds: "Promoting the hobby of geocaching along the Space Coast and surrounding areas through education, commitment and leading by example. And the Motto: "Take Pride in Your Hide!". Along with supporting events around the state have made the Space Coast and Central Florida a geocaching destination. People from all over the globe often visit. It's not just about Mickey anymore.. It is also home to the Original and perhaps only brick and mortar full scale Geocaching Store. It has everything you can possibly think of including the largest cache in Central Florida. It's a Geocaching Destination all in itself. If that isn't enough to grab your attention. Merritt Island, is packed with beautiful parks and beaches. Also known for some of the best birding in the southeast region. So there is more to it than just a few geocaches. Be prepared to have your skills tested to their limits. Every kind of cache of every kind of terrain & difficulty (other then Mountain climbing - but there are caves nearby) is waiting for you. Weather it's park n grabs or the more challenging, like Kayak caching, it's truly one of the best places to visit in Florida.
